TECHNOLOGY
The Respicaire BioClean™ uses High-Intensity Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI) to disinfect coils and indoor air as it moves through HVAC systems. The lamps produce UVC rays at 254 nanometers, which is the optimal germicidal wavelength. This UVC energy penetrates cell membranes and destroys the nucleic acids of microorganisms, disrupting their DNA and rendering them inactive. Unlike most designs on the market, the BioClean™ features anodized parabolic reflectors that redirect UVC rays in a focused direction. This prevents wasted light and delivers a 50% boost in purification potency compared to standard units. The system has been independently tested by third-party labs. Results show 99% inactivation of SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19) and Adenovirus in seconds. Additional testing confirmed 99% inactivation of MRSA, H1N1, Influenza, E. Coli, S. Aureus, E.
